Hi everyone,
We’re celebrating the one year anniversary of the launch of FRMS Granular Synthesizer.

Now let’s get nostalgic. It’s been a crazy year for everyone, but through it all, creativity is what keeps us going, and during its first year out in the wild, we’ve seen lots of great FRMS content. In addition to our Sounds Of Saxophone pack, we collaborated with artists Supremeja Music and Perplex On, who produced the excellent ‘Supremeja Music Cinematic’ and ‘Glitches From The Heart’ soundbanks for us respectively.
In November 2020, we were honoured and proud that FRMS was nominated in MusicTech magazine’s ‘Gear of the year’ awards in the ‘Best Software Synth’ category. With so many great software synths released in 2020, we were thrilled simply to be nominated.
Now let’s have a look at some of favourite content from the community, starting with Dream Theater keyboardist legend Jordan Rudess! During the first week of release, we received this ‘message from another world’ from Jordan, courtesy of a mysterious Facebook post.
We love seeing educational videos featuring FRMS, from product overviews like Nu-Trix The Synth Guy’s FRMS exploration to in-depth series like SoundForMore Tutorials’ Imaginando FRMS playlist, knowledge is power, and sharing it is awesome.
From the other end of the creative process, it's great to hear the amazing creations and tracks that are made using FRMS, and the passionate iOS music maker members of our community are a particular source of inspiration for us. A regular chatter in our YouTube live streams, echo opera shows us just how beautiful mobile music making can be with his video ‘Maschine+ : measured resolve’ which uses DRC as well as FRMS.
We’re really excited and passionate about the iOS scene ourselves, so it’s great to hear feedback from prolific iPad producers like Jakob Haq, who named FRMS as one of his top five iOS synthesizer apps of 2020!
Happy Birthday FRMS,
Team Imaginando
